“Be Your Own Boss” set to “Blaze up” Nakuru on Friday

The second edition of Blaze Kenya a network for the young people went down on 7th of July at the Thika technical institute in Thika where more than 9000 youths turned up to be part of the mentorship symposium with the slogan of “Be Your Own Boss (BYOB).
The symposium kicked off with a number of celebrities sharing their experiences in different fields while mentoring the young youths who had turned up in large numbers to participate in blaze Kenya Thika Edition.
The likes of Olive Karmen the drummer shared her experiences in the Kenyan music, the struggles she has been through until now that she is a house hold name.
The list of mentors featured renown names like Ahmed Abdi the CEO of Amana Insurance Brokers, CEO of Stawi Foods Erick Muthoni , Mike Muthiga who is the creative mind behind the Fatboy Productions company and lecturer and founder of Kaka Empire King Kaka who inspired the youths who were present.
The whole affair kicked off at 9am, where mentors took the youths through different areas ranging from Entrepreneurship , music, agribusiness, finance, fashion, media, technology and carrier building to shade light on the importance of passion and what it takes to succeed.
And as it goes Talk and talk alone makes Jack a dull boy, entertainment was unleashed in full package to the youths who were present by the likes of Khaligraph Jones,Wangechi, Timmy Tdat, Karis the comedian and the list is endless.
Other celebrities who graced the occasion were Radio Presenter Anita Nderu,Anyiko Owoko, Mutua Matheka,Nick Mutuma Mwalimu Racheal , who took a nice Selfie with the youths during the opening of the Symposium, sharing the good moments.
The youths who attended the Thika Blaze Edition were able to participate in auditions for an upcoming TV show as a way of “Be Their Own Boss”
“Be Your Own Boss” is the main focus of Blaze Kenya has it provides access to mentors who can guide the Youths toward the right direction.
BLAZE is a new network that is under the wings of Safaricom Limited created to speak, empower and deliver specific events, product and services to the youths through the use of powerful and successful mentors.
The third edition of Blaze Kenya will be held in Nakuru this Friday at Afraha Stadium.
Blaze is a platform of its own that is encouraging youths to chase their passion by providing them mentors in their area of interest hence “Be Your Own Boss”.
