Controversial Tanzanian artist invited to State House by President John Pombe Magufuli

Nay Wa Mitego is one of the most controversial musicians in Tanzania due to the kind of songs he composes day I day out.
Most of his songs have been termed to be more sensitive and even banned from being played on TV and Radio.
Recently Nay Wa Mitego was arrested by Tanzanian police for what’s was termed as dissing president Magufuli in his new song called “Wapo”.
President Magufuli however ordered for his release and even sent an official invite requesting Ney to go see him for talks at state house.
Confirming the invite to State House the singer had this to say “Yeah ni kweli jana nilipa mwaliko lakini nimeambiwa niende Ijumaa kwa sababu kuna ugeni unakuja kwahiyo na mimi nimealikwa kuhudhuria.”
According to Nay Wa Miego he is still figuring iout what he will tlk with President Magufuli once at the state house.
Nay was arrested by Police while in Morogoro and taken to Dar es Salaam for composing a song that was criticizing the government.
Through the minister of Information President Magufuli ordered that Nay wa Mitego’s new song should not banned , but be played in all the radio station.
He added that there is no need to ban the song because Nay was expressing his feelings.
This is not the first time Nay Wa Mitego is fighting with the government,, as most of his songs have been termed as controverial by the body in charge of music distribution in Tanzania.
